On October 7, Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development (ADID) revealed its masterplan for ZPTM Abu Dhabi, a transformative project set to raise the emirate’s sports, education, technology, and residential environments. The phased development is scheduled for completion by 2032, as announced by ADID.
The vision for ZPTM Abu Dhabi was presented by Shamsa Alfahim, Chief Executive Officer of ADID, alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish, representing a leading international sports development group. They presented a project designed to create a hub that consolidates elite sporting facilities, advanced athlete development programmes, and cutting-edge performance technology.
ZPTM Abu Dhabi’s plans include state-of-the-art multi-sport training venues, a dedicated professional athlete campus, and sophisticated recovery and medical facilities. It will also feature a dedicated esports and mind sports centre, a sports and wellness hotel, and integrated residential neighbourhoods.
Sir Kenny Dalglish described ZPTM Abu Dhabi as a “fantastic opportunity for the local community.” He said it will be an incredible sports destination, but also for everybody, noting the inclusion of residential accommodation, world-class sports facilities, and training centres.
Sir Kenny Dalglish praised Abu Dhabi’s transformation and growth over the past decade. He expressed his enthusiasm for involvement in a project that he believes will make a lasting contribution to Abu Dhabi. ADID’s collaboration with its international partners reinforces Abu Dhabi’s commitment to enhancing its sports infrastructure.
ZPTM Abu Dhabi represents a significant investment in creating an environment where athletic excellence, educational advancement, and technological innovation converge. This will further position Abu Dhabi as a premier global destination for sports and lifestyle, with the project set for completion by 2032.
